Dreams and Visions

It took me over 2 weeks to complete this. I wanted to make sure that I didn’t leave anything out. It gives my heart joy if it helps you. God bless!!!
DREAM AND VISION: THE DIFFERENT BETWEEN THE TWO
Ask the Lord to speak to you through dreams and visions and he will.
This is what the Word of the Lord said, “ But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.” The bible speaks clear of dreams and visions are the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. God almighty is speaking through dreams and visions and He wants to speak to you.
Dream and Vision
You must know the different between dreams and visions. Often we get both confuse. We think visions are dreams or dreams are visions.
Dream and Vision
Let’s look at Genesis 1:1 and 1:12. Genesis 1:1 states, “After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” And Vs. 12 states, “And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.” Notices vs. 12! Great darkness fell upon him…So there he began to have a dream “And He said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years.”
Dream and Vision
So now, both of these experiences were given to Abram. But here’s the key. God will often give you a dream for different reasons. DREAMS REVEAL GOD PLANS. DREAMS REVEAL GOD’S PURPOSES. VISION REVEALS HIS NATURE. THAT’S THE DIFFERENT! When God gives you a vision, He’s revealing His nature to you. What did God say to Him through that vision? Let’s look at vs. 1 of genesis 15. He had a vision. What did God say to him through the vision? He said, “Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” What was God doing? He’s revealing His nature. So vision does not reveal plans. VISION REVEALS GOD. While dreams reveal God plans. A vision may come as a dream of the night. When God reveals Himself, it’s not a dream anymore, it’s a vision.
Dream and Vision
When a Muslim says to me I saw Jesus in a dream, what he’s really saying is I saw Jesus in a vision. When He reveals Himself, you see Him! You see His nature. You hear His voice, but when He reveals his plan, it comes as a story. It comes as an experience. You see things. You see a situation. Look at vs. 1 again of Genesis 15. God was revealing Himself and He said nothing about His plan here. He said “I’m your shield. I’m your reward in a vision.
Dream and Vision
Let’s look at vs. 12 and notices the different. “And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.” He saw darkness. He saw a dark cloud. It scared him. God still spoke but God wasn’t revealing Himself, He was revealing His plan. And He said this to Abram. Vs 13 of Genesis 15 states, “And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years.” This has nothing to do with Abram but His seed. “And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.”
Dream and Vision
And here’s Abram, seeing a dark cloud and the Lord is speaking and saying, “This darkness is coming on your descendants. And it wasn’t a great experience. It was a scary experience. But God was speaking to Him.
Dream and Vision
Look at Genesis 15:2. And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? God gives Him a vision. You can speak back to God. There is communion with Him. Pay attention to something else here. If you go to Genesis 20 vs. 3-7, here’s what you find. Here’s Abimelech the king. He tried to marry Sarah. God comes to Him in a dream and said, “But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife.”
Dream and Vision
Watch this! This is amazing! “Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?” Wait a minute! Is he talking to God in a dream? The answer is no he’s not. In a vision, you be awake. A vision doesn’t necessary mean you be sleeping. Now there are visions call visions of the night. But they are so real in fact you wake up. That’s how you know the different. But when you speak back to God in a vision, you’re speaking. When you speak back to God in a dream, God is showing you what to say when you wake up.
Dream and Vision
God is revealing His plan to you through what you’re saying back to Him because you can speak in a dream. But you see yourself speaking and when you see yourself speaking, God is showing you what you must do. God would say like Abimelech “You will die.” If you touch this woman, you’re a dead man. He said “I don’t know anything about it. And he also said, “Will you slay a righteousness nation?
Dream and Vision
In Genesis 20:5, God is revealing to Abimelech his own heart by the things Abimelech is saying back to God. Vs 20 God said, “Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet.” God is revealing His plan for, Abimelech to, and through Abimelech. He sees himself saying certain things to God. All God is doing is revealing His plan. He sees himself saying certain things to God. All God is doing here is revealing His plan. His plan is “Leave her alone.” She’s not your wife. I know your heart and I know you are a man of integrity but don’t you touch her.
Dream and Vision
Let’s look at 1 Kings 3:5-10.
5 In Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee.
6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
Dream and Vision
7 And now, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in.
Dream and Vision
8 And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude.
Dream and Vision
9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?
Dream and Vision
10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
Dream and Vision
Who was asking for wisdom? You may say, “Solomon is asking. Nope! God was showing him through that dream what to ask for when he woke up. God was saying, “This is my plan for you. Here’s Solomon asking God for wisdom and God is honor. When he woke up, he understood that it was God plans and he asks for wisdom. So he ask God for wisdom and he received it.
DREAM AND VISION: HOW GOD USES DREAMS
Let’s read Job 33:12-14
2 Behold, in this thou art not just: I will answer thee, that God is greater than man.13 Why dost thou strive against him? for he giveth not account of any of his matters.14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;
Dream and Vision
You’re going to learn how God uses dreams and how dreams come. The Lord is about to show you something that He will do to you. God will first speak through circumstances. Let look at vs. 14 again. People will say to themselves “Ok, it’s by chance. They will give reasons why they should ignore it. In vs. 15 of Job, God wants to talk to you. Do you know that? In Hebrews 3:8 states, “Harden not your heart” when God is speaking. The problem is not that God is speaking. The problem is people are not listening. God speaks to us every day. There is not a day you live on the earth without God talking to you.
Dream and Vision
God talks to you every day. The thing is we ignore it. We’re not paying attention because we expect God to speak directly from heaven. God speaks through His word. You may be in a shower singing a song and don’t know why you’re singing it. Until you pay attention to the words. Or somebody may come and tell you something. Or you may be reading a scripture and something jumps at you. And then you ignore all of that. God send a circumstance and you ignore that. It often it will happen when you are falling asleep or early in the morning when you are still coming in or out.
Dream and Vision
God will also speak in a very clear dream in the middle of the night when you are in a deep sleep. It will happen at 2 or 1AM. And you wake up in the morning shaking and you remember ever thing vividly.
Dream and Vision
God speaks in color. Dreams that are full of color you must pay attention. God speaks with clarity. He uses His Word, His uses the song in the shower, He uses somebody coming to you, and circumstance.
Dream and Vision
There’s a danger if you don’t pay attention. In Job 33:15-16, in a dream God is giving you instruction. And this is His reason. Vs. 17-18, “That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man. He keepeth back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.” God is trying to talk to you in order to save your life. God wants to save you from perishing from the sword.
Dream and Vision
Let’s look at vs. 19-20 of Job 33. “He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and the multitude of his bones with strong pain.20 So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.”
Dream and Vision
If a man doesn’t pay attention, God allows sickness to affect his body. Vs. 21-22 states, “His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.22 Yea, his soul draweth near unto the grave, and his life to the destroyers. He starts to lose weight. He loses so much weight, his bones stick out.
Dream and Vision
In Job 33:23 states, “If there be a messenger with him, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to shew unto man his uprightness.”
Dream and Vision
Here is the man. God tries to talk to him through His word, through circumstance, through people, through dream, and now sickness comes. This happens because he ignores the first 4.
Dream and Vision
In Job 33:23-25, God send him an interpreter in order to interpret the dream he has. If he listened, he gets healed. God will allow sickness at times to touch a body so he can talk to that guy. Why ignore God and get sick.
DREAM AND VISION: WHAT DREAMS ARE FROM GOD, ME, THE ENEMY, & HOW GOD FURTHER USES DREAMS TO SPEAK TO PEOPLE
In Ecclesiastes 5:3, you have to discern whatever it’s God or it’s me.
A dream comes when there are many cares,
and many words mark the speech of a fool.
Dream and Vision
DREAMS THAT ARE BLACK OR WHITE ARE NOT FROM GOD.
DREAMS THAT ARE INCOMPLETE ARE NOT FROM GOD. YOU SEE A PORTION AND NOT ANOTHER.
DREAMS THAT ARE NOT OF GOD YOU REMEMBER ON PART AND NOT THE NEXT.
Dream and Vision
In Genesis 40:5-16, God even speaks to the wicked through dreams. God speaks to the sinner.
5 Each of the two men—the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were being held in prison—had a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own.
Dream and Vision
6 When Joseph came to them the next morning, he saw that they were dejected. 7 So he asked Pharaoh’s officials who were in custody with him in his master’s house, “Why do you look so sad today?”
8 “We both had dreams,” they answered, “but there is no one to interpret them.”
Then Joseph said to them, “Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams.”
Dream and Vision
9 So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. He said to him, “In my dream I saw a vine in front of me, 10 and on the vine were three branches. As soon as it budded, it blossomed, and its clusters ripened into grapes. 11 Pharaoh’s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh’s cup and put the cup in his hand.”
12 “This is what it means,” Joseph said to him. “The three branches are three days. 13 Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your position, and you will put Pharaoh’s cup in his hand, just as you used to do when you were his cupbearer. 14 But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison. 15 I was forcibly carried off from the land of the Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being put in a dungeon.”
Dream and Vision
16 When the chief baker saw that Joseph had given a favorable interpretation, he said to Joseph, “I too had a dream: On my head were three baskets of bread.
If God repeats a dream, it’s going to happen (Pharaoh’s dreams Genesis 41).
Genesis 41
Pharaoh’s Dreams
41 When two full years had passed, Pharaoh had a dream: He was standing by the Nile, 2 when out of the river there came up seven cows, sleek and fat, and they grazed among the reeds. 3 After them, seven other cows, ugly and gaunt, came up out of the Nile and stood beside those on the riverbank. 4 And the cows that were ugly and gaunt ate up the seven sleek, fat cows. Then Pharaoh woke up.
Dream and Vision
5 He fell asleep again and had a second dream: Seven heads of grain, healthy and good, were growing on a single stalk. 6 After them, seven other heads of grain sprouted—thin and scorched by the east wind. 7 The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven healthy, full heads. Then Pharaoh woke up; it had been a dream.
Dream and Vision
8 In the morning his mind was troubled, so he sent for all the magicians and wise men of Egypt. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but no one could interpret them for him.
Dream and Vision
9 Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, “Today I am reminded of my shortcomings. 10 Pharaoh was once angry with his servants, and he imprisoned me and the chief baker in the house of the captain of the guard. 11 Each of us had a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own. 12 Now a young Hebrew was there with us, a servant of the captain of the guard. We told him our dreams, and he interpreted them for us, giving each man the interpretation of his dream. 13 And things turned out exactly as he interpreted them to us: I was restored to my position, and the other man was impaled.”
Dream and Vision
14 So Pharaoh sent for Joseph, and he was quickly brought from the dungeon. When he had shaved and changed his clothes, he came before Pharaoh.
15 Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I had a dream, and no one can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when you hear a dream you can interpret it.”
Dream and Vision
16 “I cannot do it,” Joseph replied to Pharaoh, “but God will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.”
17 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “In my dream I was standing on the bank of the Nile, 18 when out of the river there came up seven cows, fat and sleek, and they grazed among the reeds. 19 After them, seven other cows came up—scrawny and very ugly and lean. I had never seen such ugly cows in all the land of Egypt. 20 The lean, ugly cows ate up the seven fat cows that came up first. 21 But even after they ate them, no one could tell that they had done so; they looked just as ugly as before. Then I woke up.
Dream and Vision
22 “In my dream I saw seven heads of grain, full and good, growing on a single stalk. 23 After them, seven other heads sprouted—withered and thin and scorched by the east wind. 24 The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good heads. I told this to the magicians, but none of them could explain it to me.”
Dream and Vision
25 Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, “The dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed to Pharaoh what he is about to do. 26 The seven good cows are seven years, and the seven good heads of grain are seven years; it is one and the same dream. 27 The seven lean, ugly cows that came up afterward are seven years, and so are the seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind: They are seven years of famine.
Dream and Vision
28 “It is just as I said to Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do. 29 Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout the land of Egypt, 30 but seven years of famine will follow them. Then all the abundance in Egypt will be forgotten, and the famine will ravage the land. 31 The abundance in the land will not be remembered, because the famine that follows it will be so severe. 32 The reason the dream was given to Pharaoh in two forms is that the matter has been firmly decided by God, and God will do it soon.
Dream and Vision
33 “And now let Pharaoh look for a discerning and wise man and put him in charge of the land of Egypt. 34 Let Pharaoh appoint commissioners over the land to take a fifth of the harvest of Egypt during the seven years of abundance. 35 They should collect all the food of these good years that are coming and store up the grain under the authority of Pharaoh, to be kept in the cities for food. 36 This food should be held in reserve for the country, to be used during the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt, so that the country may not be ruined by the famine.”
Dream and Vision
37 The plan seemed good to Pharaoh and to all his officials. 38 So Pharaoh asked them, “Can we find anyone like this man, one in whom is the spirit of God[a]?”
39 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “Since God has made all this known to you, there is no one so discerning and wise as you. 40 You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.”
Dream and Vision
Joseph in Charge of Egypt
41 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt.” 42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck. 43 He had him ride in a chariot as his second-in-command,[b] and people shouted before him, “Make way[c]!” Thus he put him in charge of the whole land of Egypt.
Dream and Vision
44 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I am Pharaoh, but without your word no one will lift hand or foot in all Egypt.” 45 Pharaoh gave Joseph the name Zaphenath-Paneah and gave him Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On,[d] to be his wife. And Joseph went throughout the land of Egypt.
Dream and Vision
46 Joseph was thirty years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from Pharaoh’s presence and traveled throughout Egypt. 47 During the seven years of abundance the land produced plentifully. 48 Joseph collected all the food produced in those seven years of abundance in Egypt and stored it in the cities. In each city he put the food grown in the fields surrounding it. 49 Joseph stored up huge quantities of grain, like the sand of the sea; it was so much that he stopped keeping records because it was beyond measure.
Dream and Vision
50 Before the years of famine came, two sons were born to Joseph by Asenath daughter of Potiphera, priest of On. 51 Joseph named his firstborn Manasseh[e] and said, “It is because God has made me forget all my trouble and all my father’s household.” 52 The second son he named Ephraim[f] and said, “It is because God has made me fruitful in the land of my suffering.”
Dream and Vision
53 The seven years of abundance in Egypt came to an end, 54 and the seven years of famine began, just as Joseph had said. There was famine in all the other lands, but in the whole land of Egypt there was food. 55 When all Egypt began to feel the famine, the people cried to Pharaoh for food. Then Pharaoh told all the Egyptians, “Go to Joseph and do what he tells you.”
56 When the famine had spread over the whole country, Joseph opened all the storehouses and sold grain to the Egyptians, for the famine was severe throughout Egypt. 57 And all the world came to Egypt to buy grain from Joseph, because the famine was severe.
Dream and Vision
You must pray after every dream to fulfill it or to cancel it.
Dreams that are not of God: You wake up often and not remember a thing. And when you do remember, they won’t last.
Dream and Vision
You can recall the dream few days or less, a month, maybe a year, and then you forget about it. It’s not of God.

IF IT FROM GOD, IT WILL STAY WITH YOU FOR LIFE!
Dream and Vision
IF IT REALLY FROM GOD, HE REPEATS IT. THE NEXT NIGHT, THE NIGHT AFTER, AND NEXT WEEK.
(Isaiah 29:8) SOME DREAMS COME BECAUSE WE DESIRE IT.
Dream and Vision
Isaiah 29:8
New International Version (NIV)
8 as when a hungry person dreams of eating,
but awakens hungry still;
as when a thirsty person dreams of drinking,
but awakens faint and thirsty still.
So will it be with the hordes of all the nations
that fight against Mount Zion.
Dream and Vision
SOMETIMES DREAMS ARE DEMONIC. DREAMS COME TO DEFILE THE FLESH. THE SOURCE IS SATAN.
The Book of Judges chapter 7:3-15 – GOD WILL GIVE SOMEONE ELSE THE SAME DREAM SINCE HE IS TRYING TO TALK TO YOU.
Dream and Vision
3 Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream. “I had a dream,” he was saying. “A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed.”
Dream and Vision
14 His friend responded, “This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands.”
15 When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, he bowed down and worshiped. He returned to the camp of Israel and called out, “Get up! The Lord has given the Midianite camp into your hands.” 16 Dividing the three hundred men into three companies, he placed trumpets and empty jars in the hands of all of them, with torches inside.
Dream and Vision
Jude 1:8
8 In the very same way, on the strength of their dreams these ungodly people pollute their own bodies, reject authority and heap abuse on celestial beings.
The word of God says God also speak in dark speeches (Job 4:13-17). These dreams have no clarity or make sense. It’s confusing. You may need to pray for an interpretation.
Dream and Vision
Job 4:13-17
13 Amid disquieting dreams in the night,
when deep sleep falls on people,
14 fear and trembling seized me
and made all my bones shake.
15 A spirit glided past my face,
and the hair on my body stood on end.
16 It stopped,
but I could not tell what it was.
A form stood before my eyes,
and I heard a hushed voice:
17 ‘Can a mortal be more righteous than God?
Can even a strong man be more pure than his Maker?
Dream and Vision
If you don’t listen to the Lord, He will allow a dream to shake you up. You may wake up shaking.
If it’s from God plan, there will be peace in your heart. If it is from the enemy, God would want you to pray for it so you can cancel it. Or it is something that going to happen and God will prepare you for it.
Dream and Vision
GOD WILL USE A SINNER TO SPEAK TO YOU (Judges 7:13-15).
(Judges 7:13-15) Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend his dream. “I had a dream,” he was saying. “A round loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent overturned and collapsed.” 14 His friend responded, “This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the Midianites and the whole camp into his hands.” 15 When Gideon heard the dream and its interpretation, he worshiped God. He returned to the camp of Israel and called out, “Get up! The LORD has given the Midianite camp into your hands.”
Dream and Vision
SOMETIMES GOD WILL USE A FRIEND, WIFE, AND HUSBAND TO WARN YOU IN NOT DOING SOMETHING. AND IF YOU DO, YOU WILL BE PUNISHED.
Remember Pilate wife? (Matt. 27:19)
Matthew 27:19 states the following:
19 While Pilate was sitting on the judge’s seat, his wife sent him this message: “Don’t have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him.”
Dream and Vision
GOD WILL SEND DREAMS TO GUIDE YOU (Matthew 1:19-21).
Dream and Vision
Matthew 1:19-21 states the following:
19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[a] did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus,[b] because he will save his people from their sins.”
Dream and Vision
DREAM AND VISION: WHY GOD REVEALS YOU FIRST
BEFORE GOD REVEALS HIMSELF, HE REVEALS YOU TO YOU IN ORDER TO BRING BROKENNESS IN YOUR LIFE (Isaiah 6:1-5).
Dream and Vision
A TRUE VISION NEVER STARTS WITH GOD. A TRUE VISION STARTS WITH YOU. A VISION REVEALS THE LORD BUT IT BEGINS WITH A REVELATION OF YOU. LIKE ISAIAH, HE SAW HIMSELF AND HIS SIN. HE SAID I AM A MAN WITH UNCLEAN LIPS. WHEN ISAIAH SAW GOD IN A VISION, HE HAD A REVELATION OF HIS WEAKNESS. AND WHEN YOU ARE BROKEN, GOD REVEALS HIMSELF TO YOU.
Dream and Vision
Vision doesn’t always happen. Dreams often happen. Vision comes in a turning point in your life.
Isaiah’s Commission
6 In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. 2 Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. 3 And they were calling to one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty;
the whole earth is full of his glory.”
Dream and Vision
4 At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke.
5 “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.”
Dream and Vision
To bring brokenness to your life. A true vision never starts with God. A true vision begins with you. Like Isaiah, he saw himself and his sin. He said I am a man with unclean lips. In Isaiah 6, the first thing that happen that he had a revelation of his weakness. It brings you into brokenness and when you are broken God reveals himself to you. He reveals His glory. Vision doesn’t always happen. Dreams often happen. Vision comes in a turning point in your life. A vision will change your life. It will change your destiny (Ecclesiastes. 3:15).
Dream and Vision
Ecclesiastes 3:15
New International Version (NIV)
15 Whatever is has already been,
and what will be has been before;
and God will call the past to account.[a]
Dream and Vision
THE LORD WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU AN INTERPRETATION OF A VISION IF WE PRAY FOR IT. WE HAVE TO PRAY BEFORE GOD REVEALS IT (Daniel 7:1 & 7:28).
Daniel had a dream and an angel interprets the dream (Daniel 7:1 & 8:15). He prayed for it and receive an interpretation.
Dream and Vision
Daniel’s Dream of Four Beasts (Daniel 7:1)
7 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his mind as he was lying in bed. He wrote down the substance of his dream.
Dream and Vision
Daniel 7:28 states,
28 “This is the end of the matter. I, Daniel, was deeply troubled by my thoughts, and my face turned pale, but I kept the matter to myself.”
The Interpretation of the Vision (Daniel 8:15-27)
15 While I, Daniel, was watching the vision and trying to understand it, there before me stood one who looked like a man. 16 And I heard a man’s voice from the Ulai calling, “Gabriel, tell this man the meaning of the vision.”
Dream and Vision
17 As he came near the place where I was standing, I was terrified and fell prostrate. “Son of man,”[b] he said to me, “understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.”
18 While he was speaking to me, I was in a deep sleep, with my face to the ground. Then he touched me and raised me to my feet.
Dream and Vision
19 He said: “I am going to tell you what will happen later in the time of wrath, because the vision concerns the appointed time of the end.[c] 20 The two-horned ram that you saw represents the kings of Media and Persia. 21 The shaggy goat is the king of Greece, and the large horn between its eyes is the first king. 22 The four horns that replaced the one that was broken off represent four kingdoms that will emerge from his nation but will not have the same power.
Dream and Vision
23 “In the latter part of their reign, when rebels have become completely wicked, a fierce-looking king, a master of intrigue, will arise. 24 He will become very strong, but not by his own power. He will cause astounding devastation and will succeed in whatever he does. He will destroy those who are mighty, the holy people. 25 He will cause deceit to prosper, and he will consider himself superior. When they feel secure, he will destroy many and take his stand against the Prince of princes. Yet he will be destroyed, but not by human power.
Dream and Vision
26 “The vision of the evenings and mornings that has been given you is true, but seal up the vision, for it concerns the distant future.”
27 I, Daniel, was worn out. I lay exhausted for several days. Then I got up and went about the king’s business. I was appalled by the vision; it was beyond understanding.
Dream and Vision
I WILL GIVE YOU THE FIVE KEYS TO INTERPRET A VISION. IT WILL CHANGE YOU DESTINY (HABAKKUK 2:1-3).
Dream and Vision
Habakkuk 2:1-3 states,
2 I will stand at my watch
and station myself on the ramparts;
I will look to see what he will say to me,
and what answer I am to give to this complaint.[a]
Dream and Vision
The Lord’s Answer
2 Then the Lord replied:
“Write down the revelation
and make it plain on tablets
so that a herald[b] may run with it.
3 For the revelation awaits an appointed time;
it speaks of the end
and will not prove false.
Though it linger, wait for it;
it[c] will certainly come
and will not delay.
Dream and Vision
WHEN GOD GIVES YOU A VISION, YOU MUST PRAY IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE PRAYER FULFILLS VISION. PRAYER FULFILLS DREAMS OR CANCEL THEM. A VISION FROM THE LORD DOES NOT NEED CANCELLATION BECAUSE IN A VISION GOD REVEALS HIMSELF AND NOT HIS PLAN. GOD REVEALS HIS HEART AND NATURE TO YOU.
Dream and Vision
GOD WILL MAKE IT PLAIN. IF IT’S C LOUDLY, IT’S NOT OF GOD (HABAKKUK 2:2).
The 5 keys in interpreting a vision:
1.) You must pray. So God will fulfill.
2.) Vs. 2, wait on the Lord to reveal it. “The Lord replied; write the vision (Habakkuk 2:2). Habakkuk waited until the Lord answer.
3.) Vs. 3, act upon what God shows you when He does. It said run with it (Habakkuk 2:2). ONLY WHEN GOD REVEALS IT TO YOU!
4.) Vs. 3, let God fulfills it in His time.
ACTING UPON IT DOESN’T MEAN YOU MAKE IT HAPPEN, IT MEANS YOU PREPARE!

5.) Though it linger, wait for it; it[c] will certainly come and will not delay. Vs. 3, don’t lose faith if it’s delay.
SIN KILLS VISIONS (1 Samuel 3:1). If sin is active in your life, your vision will die. “Those days the word of the Lord was rare; there were not many visions.” WHEN GOD GIVES IT, IT STAYS WITH YOU.
Dream and Vision
When God give it, it gets bigger and becomes more and more alive in you. VISION BELONGS TO THE RIGHTEOUSNESS. Disaster occurs when there is an absence of vision. When there is no vision, the people perish. Pray for a vision and get the word of God in you. Vision comes as a result of the law. Remember what God said “Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Vision is the result of the Word of God.
